Background Questions:
1) What does your character do by daylight? What is their occupation, and where in the city do they live? (“Student” is an occupation for the purpose of this question)
2) What are they fighting for? Is it out of obligation, a deep sense of justice, or are they hoping to protect someone in particular?
3) Who matters most to them? Who are the most important people in their life, and what kind of relationships do they have?
4) How did they get to now? Give a brief summary of your character’s background.
Personality Questions:
1) What would make your character happiest or fulfilled? What do they yearn for, secretly or otherwise?
2) What does your character fear the most? In what way are they vulnerable?
3) What does your character think their greatest strength is? What is their actual greatest strength?
IC: Supernova (By Starlight)
Code Name: Everyone’s name starts with the title “Nova”.
Appearance: What do they look like as a Nova Knight? Your character’s supernova form can look however you want, but it should ideally 1) be representative of your character’s true self in some way 2) use your character’s signature colors 3) be maximum fabulous in whatever way suits your character best (optional: their own transformation activation phase)
Signature Colors: Choose 2 (provide hex codes if possible)
Domain: What are their powers themed around? Ideally, choose something specific enough to generate interesting ideas, but not so specific that it only lends itself to one particular move. It helps to think about what other things are associated with that concept. For instance, “lightning” and “thunder” might seem like the same domain, but a Lightning Domain could also have powers themed around light, paralysis, or magnetism; likewise, a Thunder Domain could have powers that incorporate elements of sound and concussive force. If you’re not sure what to do for your character, the mod team is happy to consult and help you decide!
Note: While your character's domain can generally be whatever you want, "Ocean" and "Stars" are the only domains PCs cannot have, due to their overall significance to the plot and setting.
Combat Type: Attack, defense, or support. For more information, please see the Powers page.
Starting Power: Please (briefly) describe the effects of your character’s first (Silver-level) power.
Weapon: (Optional) Please describe the weapon your character manifests in supernova.
Awakening: What awakened your character to their powers? It could be a dream of their past life, a fateful encounter with another character, or they could have been contacted directly by the rude computer — either way, at the moment of their awakening, they hear their past life’s dying wish, even if they don’t know what it means.
Past Life Questions:
1) What was their past life’s role on The Nashira? What kind of life did they lead on Hassaleh before their exodus? For more information on these settings, please see the Past Lives page.
2) What, if anything, about their past life has echoes in their current life?
3) What was their past life’s dying wish? This can be anything you want, but ideally is meant to be a thematic foothold for your character if there’s a particular arc you want to do with them. It could be something that resonates with your character’s present self, or something totally at odds with what they want. It can be something trivial, too, if “dying wish” is not an angle you’re super into.
